About Lakeland

Lakeland Estates is a private gated community six miles south of Blair, Nebraska, off Highway 133, Blair High Road.  The community was developed in 1970 by the Lakeland Development Company and to date has grown to over 300 homes.  Inside Lakeland Gates are well kept roads safe for biking, running, walking dogs, pushing a stroller, or playing.  Many residents enjoy early morning or late evening jogs and strolls on the paved roads. 


Lake Arrowhead Inc.

As a new homeowner, you are now a shareholder of Lake Arrowhead Inc.  Shareholders of Lake Arrowhead Inc. are in charge of ensuring compliance with the subdivision Covenants and are also responsible for maintaining all Lakeland amenities.  Mandatory dues for Lake Arrowhead Inc. are $280 per house lot per year and $240 per empty lot per year and are billed in August.  

Lake Arrowhead Inc. is governed by an elected Board of Directors that meets monthly. The Board of Directors meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm. Shareholders annual meeting occurs on the first Monday of August at 7pm. All shareholders are invited to attend any and all Board and Shareholder meetings. Each shareholder present during the annual meeting is entitled to one vote for each share of stock (lot) held in the Lake Arrowhead, Inc.

Under the board of directors is the Lakeland Residents Commitee.  The resident commitee hosts many social activities throughout the year including Summer Beach Parties, Easter Egg Hunts, Firework Display & 4th of July Parade, Halloween Parade, Annual Garage Sales, Visit from Santa Claus, and others. We encourage your participation in the association as we are always looking for volunteers and ideas to help us make our subdivision a great place to live.  For more information on upcoming events, visit the Community pages.  


Lakeland Email Database

The Lakeland Homeowners Association periodically sends emails about important events to the Lakeland residents only.  If you wish to be added to the email distribution list, please send an email with your name and email address to lakelandne@gmail.com.


Resident Lake Access Areas

One of the many benefits of living in Lakeland is access to the beautiful electric motors only lake, perfect for fishing, swimming or strolling along in your pontoon.  Areas open to all Lakeland residents include North Beach, South Beach, and Grasshopper Park.  To obtain your Lakeland parking permit for these areas, please stop at the Lake Arrowhead Office.  Located on North Beach is a dock available for Lakeland residents.  Both beaches include picnic shelters and outhouses.  South Beach also includes a large grill and access to electrical outlets by contacting the Lake Arrowhead Office.  Please help keep our access areas and lake free of litter and clean up after your pets.  *NEW Lake Arrowhead Watercraft/Boat Ramp Key Regulations  All Lake Arrowhead Watercraft are to be registered at the office, keys and boat stickers are available only to Lake Arrowhead Shareholders. The boat ramp is to be locked at all times. No guest boats are allowed on Lake Arrowhead. Please see Kim at the office to register your watercraft.  


Clubhouse Rental

Looking for a place to host your graduation reception, birthday party, or other event? For a fee and refundable security deposit, the clubhouse can be rented by Lakeland residents that are current on their dues. Rental includes kitchen access and use of our tables and chairs. Contact us for more information.

Elementary Schools

Blair consists of 4 public elementary schools grades K-3:  Deerfield, North, South and West.  Blair elementary schools begin at 8:25 a.m. each morning and dismiss at 3:15 p.m.  Lakeland residents are considered rural students of Blair and are assigned an elementary school based on the census quo of each school.  Buses are provided for the convenance of Lakeland residents.


Arbor Park Intermediate School

Arbor Park consists of all Blair and rural students grades 4 and 5. Classes begin at 8:25 a.m., and students are dismissed at 3:20 p.m.


Otte Blair Middle School

Constructed in 1997, Otte Blair Middle School houses academic and exploratory wings designed around a central hub comprised of the library/media center and office areas for grades 6-8.


Blair High School

Built in 1970 at a cost of $2.2 million, the 140,000 square-foot building sits on 75 acres of land. Student population is approximately 700 hosting grades 9-12. 

School buses have regular pick up times located at the Lakeland Clubhouse and are available for all grades of Blair Public Schools.  Contact the Blair Bus Barn at 402-426-4509  for more information or to register your child for a time to be picked up.


Mail

Mail is collectively delivered to and from the boxes located by Lake Arrowhead office.  You can obtain your mailbox key at the US Post Office in Blair at 201 N. 16th St  (402) 426-3100

Brush (no grass) may be taken to the burn pile located across from south beach.
